Aveng Grinaker-LTA Civil Engineering wins SANRAL contract

Aveng Grinaker-LTA Civil Engineering has been awarded a R92 million contract for the South African National Roads Agency (SANRAL) to resurface the 40.6km road between Sun City and Boshoek in the North West province.

The scope of work for the NR R556 Section 1 from R510 to Sun City and R565 Section 1 from N4 to Boshoek consists of an asphalt overlay 35/45mm (CGMG A-E2 36,300t) and SMA 20mm (A-E2 7mm). Further work includes rehabilitation and ancillary works, including base repair patches (720t) and edge break repairs (150t), crack sealing 64,000m and asphalt reinforcing grid amounting to 285,700m².
